Change is constant and although it can bring farewells and sadness it can also build renewed strength of purpose and a focusing on what we do best.
This year WasteWater Education 501(c)3 has said farewell to two much missed Board Members: Sam Lines and Richard Flynn. You will note we use the term farewell and not goodby as the door will for ever remain firmly open for them to return.
But 2025 has also seen the addition of two eminently qualified replacements: Lynn Schneider from King County WA and Sandra Whitehead from Georgetown University – the Board is now equipped to respond in two desperately needed areas of local government regulation and sustainable academic opportunities.

And after 22 years our Executive Director and one of the organization’s founding Board Members has took a step sideways to take on the ever increasing business of financial control and development of new online education interactive courses. So it’s a sort of farewell to Dendra Best but hello to the new Executive Director Steve Morton. Steve comes to his role with an outstanding background in local, state and national regulation as well as an international network of contacts through his role with WaterAid.

Fiscal Year 2024/25 has seen a substantial growth both in income and continuing education classes and courses offered – almost 45%
To review the full range of our programs see our 2024-25 Annual Report here –
We have also undertaken a complete overhaul of our web sites:
- And https://WasteWaterEducation.info
- If you can’t find something – please let us know as we are still creating archives online of 23 years of being in the education and water advocacy business!!
And if you created an account with H2OandM – the online system management tool – we agreed to take that over this year and do a complete rebuild. If you would like to be kept updated on the progress do please go to https://onsitewastewater.info and fill in the Contact Form.
We may be a small working Board but our network of friends and professional colleagues spans the globe. We are committed to providing easily accessible information, sharing and pooling of resources and research materials. When everyone has access to education everyone wins.
A mark of how seriously we take our business and responsibilities is our continued commitment to governance, transparency and accountability. This has once again earned us a Platinum Seal of Approval from Candid Guidestar – see https://www.guidestar.org/Profile/20-0042087#
So if you have a need for a more engaging way to provide training for yourself or your staff give us a call – let’s talk! So many of our clients are mightily surprised that a real person is available to talk with them and sort out what will work best for you!
WasteWater Education 501(c)3 takes this business with all the serious commitment it deserves – we aren’t in the wastewater business we’re in the water business because water is WATER, not waste.
